Current Work
My current work focuses on the context of space and forms.
Color, size and shapes are oriented to each other, creating a dynamic energy suggesting dimensionality and planes of existence.
The immediacy of working simply and quickly, whether digitally or in encaustic or on paper using acrylic paint and graphite, has provided me the freedom and spontaneity to be in the moment as I organize my mark making into a cogent vocabulary of forms.
Scribbled marks and scraps of painted paper metamorphose into completed images, some of which continue to morph although their original form persists… similar to holding an idea in your mind as you examine it from various angles.
